Outlook for Mac lets you create and use multiple email signatures, and you can choose a default for each account.
End emails with style (automatically)
Frames are a comfort to have. The top and sides of your email are already well-crafted, but the end of your email can look endless and unusual if you don't.
Fortunately, setting up one signature is as easy as setting up many in Outlook for Mac,
and you can set special defaults for specific email accounts.
Create an email signature in Outlook for Mac
To set up an email signature in Outlook for Mac:
- Outlook | Choose Preferences...
- Open the signature category.
- Click the + sign below the signature list .
- Under Signature , type the desired text for your signature .
To give your new signature a name:
- Click the Unsigned tab .
- If the signature name does not become editable, click it again. Click on the name, not the title, next to it.
- Enter the desired new signature name.
- Enter the press , please .
Set default signature in Outlook for Mac
To select a default signature to be inserted by default in new messages and replies created in Outlook for Mac:
- Outlook | Preferences... from the menu in Outlook for Mac.
- Open the signature category.
- For each email account for which you want to change the default signature:
- Choose default signature: a section : Account for the account you want from the selection , please.
- Under New Message , select the signature you want to insert in your new email : .
- Select the signature you want to automatically use in replies, and select your signature when forwarding in Reply/Forward .
- In either case, if you don't have a default signature , choose None . For example, if you don't want to use signatures in responses. Of course, you can insert it manually when writing a message.
- Close the Signature Preferences window.
Choose default signature in Outlook for Mac 2011
To insert new signature into new message in Outlook for Mac 2011 by default, please do as follows:
- Click Default Signature ...
- Make sure New signature is selected under Default signature for all desired accounts .
- OK , click.
Insert a signature into an email in Outlook for Mac
To use or change the signature you have set for messages in Outlook for Mac, please do as follows:
- Make sure the message ribbon is visible.
- If not, click the message next to the message subject bar in Outlook for Mac.
- Add a signature to this message button to click.
- Select the desired signature from the menu that appears.
As an alternative to the Messages toolbar, [ Draft] | Sign from the menu, then choose a fancy signature.
