How to define your own Gmail keyboard shortcuts

 If you are a Gmail user, you will often find yourself doing the same thing over and over again. However, features built into Gmail accounts are features that many users are unaware of , such as keyboard shortcuts . You can do a lot of things just by pressing a key, and the list is very long.

Despite the comprehensiveness of the list, you may want to do a few things in your own way as quickly as possible. You can get Gmail again. You can create keyboard shortcuts the way you use them at work.


Define your own Gmail keyboard shortcuts

First, make sure shortcuts are turned on.

  1. Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.
  2. Click Settings .
  3. Keyboard shortcut , scroll to the keyboard shortcuts , select .
  4. Save your changes.

Now you are ready to tell Gmail what to do when certain keys are pressed.

  1. Enter your settings .
  2. Go to the Labs category.
  3. If you don't see Custom Keyboard Shortcuts in the lab list, search for a phrase in the search bar and click the result.
  4. Custom keyboard shortcuts in use , select Make .
  5. Save Changes Click For .
  6. Follow the settings link again.
  7. This time go to the Keyboard Shortcuts section.
  8. Edit any keyboard shortcuts you want.
  9. Save Changes Click For .

It's convenient and time-saving when you go to your inbox, click on the shortcut you want, and get used to the shortcut you've created.
